About
Lloyd was born in Birkenfeld, Germany to American parents. At age five he moved to the US with his family and spent the rest of his childhood in Massachusetts and Texas. He studied political science and music at the University of Chicago and is a graduate of Columbia Law School.
Lloyd’s passion for photography began at age 13 when he purchased his first SLR camera with help from his mother. Early on his interests spanned across wildlife, architecture and photojournalism but today he is focused primarily on travel photography.
Lloyd is also a collector of rare, out-of-print photobooks with a particular interest in the Düsseldorf School of Photography. Some of his favorite photographers are Thomas Struth, Hiroshi Sugimoto and Wolfgang Tillmans.
Lloyd lives and works in New York City.
